The Breeze Performance Universal Cone Air Filter is built to flow hard and look sharp in any engine bay. A one-piece moulded polyurethane body houses a three-layer dry element (steel mesh plus high-flow fibre) for strength and airflow. Three inlet sizes in the box let it fit most aftermarket intakes. Key features Three-layer dry element: steel mesh and high-flow fibre for strength and airflow One-piece moulded PU top, base and inlet for durability and impact resistance Top sub-filter boosts suction efficiency for sharper engine response Aluminium top cover with Breeze Performance emblem Seven colours: Purple, Black, Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Gold What's in the box 1 × Breeze Performance cone air filter 3 × inlets: 60 mm, 70 mm and 73–76 mm 1 × metal clamp Specifications Fitment: universal, for 60 mm, 70 mm and 73–76 mm intake pipes (89 mm inner diameter at the base) Length: 165 mm Outer diameter: 150 mm Inner diameter (pipe side): 89 mm Element: dry, three-layer (steel mesh + high-flow fibre) Weight: 0.3 kg Installation notes Fit the inlet that matches your pipe and secure it with the supplied clamp. Any open-element filter can change your air-fuel ratio. We recommend a check at a professional shop, especially alongside other tuning parts. Protect it from water and road grime with the Breeze HydroShield cover.

Air, made visible

Same engine demand. Three very different paths.

Each cross-section shows where the air actually goes: what gets in, where it stalls, and how cleanly it leaves. These are illustrative engineering drawings, not CFD results or measured flow rates.

Stock airbox

The housing decides how much air you get

A factory box feeds through one small snorkel, so most of the incoming air never reaches the element. What does get in has to turn, stall in the corners and cross a flat panel before it leaves.

One small inlet
Sharp turns and dead pockets
Turbulent exit

Typical dry filter

Sealed at the front, fed from the flanks

Losing the airbox helps, but a closed front cap makes oncoming air pile up and split ahead of the filter instead of entering. The intake arrows sit on the rear flanks only, and the square-edged neck separates the flow on the way out.

Closed front — sides only
Stagnation across the nose
Separation at the neck

Breeze filter

Open at the front, breathing on every face

An inlet through the front cap feeds a reverse cone that pulls air straight down the centre, fans it out into the body and lets it circulate through the media from the inside. Add the full-length side intake and a larger outlet, and there is no dead face anywhere on the filter.

Open front inlet, reverse cone inside
Front and sides feeding together
Larger radiused outlet

Dry media, oiled-adjacent flow on your build

Where this filter sits against the field you might cross-shop — oiled cotton still flows the most, but Breeze lands within a few percent on dry synthetic media while the rest of the dry field trails further back.

Where oiled still leads

Tack oil on cotton gauze catches fine dust while leaving the weave open, so it flows best. The cost is re-oiling at every service and an oil film that can end up on a MAF sensor.

Where dry usually gives up ground

Most dry elements buy filtration with denser media and pay for it in flow. Injen’s 99.53% is the highest efficiency here and comes from exactly that trade.

What Breeze is tuned for

99.1% and 6 µm on dry synthetic media, with the intake geometry doing the work instead of oil — so the flow lands next to cotton gauze rather than next to the dry filters it is grouped with. Rinse, dry, refit. Nothing to re-oil.
